Carnival Cruise Ships By Size
The Magic features ten restaurants, several bars and pubs, plenty of kids-only and adults-only entertainment options, and a fun-filled water park. Launched in 2022, the Carnival Celebration has a gross tonnage of 183,521 and a capacity for 5,374 passengers. This vessel stands out with BOLT, the first roller coaster at sea, offering unique ocean views.
What is the Carnival Jubilee tonnage?
It was renamed Mardi Gras and marketed to young fun-loving individuals – a market that was not catered for at this time by cruise lines. Carnival primarily caters to the North American market with a lot of onboard activities, dining and entertainment geared towards the American clientele. She is based in Los Angeles, California and makes 3-, 4- and 6-night cruises to Baja Mexico and the Mexican Riviera, but she also has a few special 14-night "Carnival Journeys" cruises to Hawaii. Carnival Glory is a little over 20 years old, as she set sail on her maiden voyage on July 14, 2003!

The vessel became a reality in 2019 when the ship was completely transformed from the Carnival Triumph into the new Carnival Sunrise. The $200 million dry dock took place in Cadiz, Spain and the inaugural sailing departed on April 29, 2019. The vessel is the second Dream-class vessel built at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy. She debuted on May 1, 2011, the same year all the new FUN 2.0 upgrades were introduced. The last ship in the Dream class started sailing for Carnival Cruise Line in 2012.
Carnival Sunshine (formerly Carnival Destiny)
Carnival Horizon was the first ship to introduce a new Guy Fieri’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse Brewhouse venue, Dr. Seuss WaterWorks, and a dedicated Teppanyaki restaurant.
There are advantages to both the bigger and smaller Carnival ships. The biggest ships are newer and have more facilities on board, with bigger water parks and more stuff for kids to do. Despite being one of the smallest ships in the Carnival fleet, Carnival Elation still has plenty to keep guests entertained and happy during their cruise. There’s the WaterWorks splash area, three youth spaces, an arcade and more for the kids.
What I don't love about Carnival Jubilee
Smaller ships offer a cozy, relaxed vibe, while the biggest ones are like floating cities, bursting with activities and options. For anyone planning a cruise, getting a handle on the ship size is a crucial first step. Another Spirit-class Carnival ship, the Carnival Legend, has sailed everywhere, including Australia and Alaska.
The ship features 1,062 staterooms, ensuring that every guest has a comfortable and enjoyable stay on board. The ship features 1,130 staterooms, ensuring that every guest has a comfortable and enjoyable stay on board. The ship features 1,492 staterooms, ensuring that every guest has a comfortable and enjoyable stay on board. The ship features 1,321 staterooms, ensuring that every guest has a comfortable and enjoyable stay on board.
Carnival Dream
I'm not a huge drinker, so I didn't personally try cocktails from the Center Stage Bar (Deck 6) or Grand View Bar (Deck 7) in Grand Central. The former features a bit of a retro vibe, and the latter is backed by a giant light-up wall that looks like wave. I also wasn't impressed with how long it took a bartender to ask for my order, especially since it wasn't particularly crowded.
The ship features 2,641 staterooms, ensuring that every guest has a comfortable and enjoyable stay on board. Launched in 2020, the Carnival Mardi Gras is a magnificent vessel that boasts an impressive 180,800 gross tons. Completed in 2022, the Carnival Celebration is a true giant of the seas, boasting a whopping 183,521 gross tons.
Carnival Panorama, also a Vista-class ship, instead has the first trampoline park ever put on a cruise ship, in a partnership with Sky Zone. All four vessels in the Vista and Venezia classes have water parks with waterslides on their top decks, as well as miniature golf courses, ropes courses and multiple pool areas. They're also known for their pedal-powered, suspended-in-the-air SkyRide attractions. One of the best ways Carnival provides value to its customers is through its food offerings. Complimentary dining abounds on Carnival Jubilee, and the variety of cuisines is impressive. You'll find more free options on Carnival ships than on just about any other fleet's vessels, and they're actually tasty.
With two pools and six hot tubs, Carnival Venezia it’s not the biggest ship of the company but it’s still considered a pretty big one. It debuted in 2016 and is finally different from the previous classes. It features SportsSquare and WaterWorks for outdoor activities, and for this reason, I think it is perfect for families with kids. Carnival Breeze, a Dream-class vessel, is well known for family fun.
A version of this chef Emeril Lagasse-affiliated spot is on each of Carnival's Excel Class ships, bearing the hull number of the original vessel for which the new one is named. Simply walk up to order at the counter, have a seat and a waiter will take over from there. With calming seafoam green and yellow decor alongside extras like Elemis toiletries, bathrobes and slippers, these are some of the most relaxing cabins on any ship.
